Submit a proposal to The Pfizer Incubator
To be admitted into TPI, business proposals from aspiring entrepreneurs undergo a rigorous selection process that consists of 2 major steps: submission of a non-confidential description of the proposal and in-depth due diligence under a confidentiality agreement.
Please read TPI’s policy on submission of ideas very carefully to make sure that you do not disclose any information that is not protected. Disclosing this information to TPI may prevent you from being able to protect it later. If you understand the terms of this policy and are willing to submit your proposal for review on these terms, please click the “I Agree” button to be transferred to the submission form.
The Pfizer Incubator Policy on Submission of Ideas
All ideas and materials submitted to The Pfizer Incubator (“TPI”) MUST be non-confidential and should not contain any markings indicating confidentiality. By submitting your ideas and materials to TPI for review, you understand that none of TPI, Pfizer Inc. or their affiliates (collectively, “Pfizer”) will treat the information as confidential or proprietary, and thus will not be restricted from using such information or disclosing such information to third parties.
Pfizer is continually engaged in an extensive program of research on a variety of subjects. Pfizer scientists are constantly working on the development of new and improved products and more efficient methods of manufacture. Pfizer's own investigational efforts are supplemented by grants to university laboratories and others. In addition to its own original work, Pfizer has access to a large number of technical and scientific publications, prior patents, and other sources of information. It is not surprising, therefore, that many of the ideas submitted to Pfizer by persons outside the Company are already known or made available to it through the efforts of its own research staff.
TPI’s Policy
For the reasons listed in this statement and others, it is TPI’s fixed policy to consider new ideas or suggestions upon the following conditions:
- That the TPI submission is not made in confidence and is not accompanied by any reservation or condition whatsoever which imposes upon TPI, Pfizer Inc or any Pfizer affiliate any obligation or restriction with regard to its use.
- That the submitter's rights shall be only those given under the patent laws and/or under any written contract to which the submitter and TPI may mutually agree.
- That in the event TPI has an interest in your TPI Submission, a representative of TPI may contact you regarding our interest and inform you of the next steps in the submission process. At such time, TPI may wish to receive information under confidentiality.
- That TPI in its sole discretion may decide whether or not (1) to contact you regarding the TPI Submission, (2) to engage in further discussions regarding the TPI Submission, and (3) to accept the TPI Submission as a project admitted to the incubator and to enter into an agreement related thereto.
- That, in the absence of patent protection or a written contract, TPI, Pfizer Inc and their affiliates shall have the right to decide, in its sole discretion, whether the submitter will be compensated for the suggestion or idea submitted to TPI or for TPI's use thereof, whether TPI seek to engage in further discussions regarding a TPI Submission or enter into a transaction with respect thereto.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I acknowledge that I have read the above statement 'The Pfizer Incubator Policy on Submission of Ideas', which sets forth your policy on the submission of ideas by persons outside your company. I agree that in making this submission, I shall be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in the policy statement. In consideration of your examining my idea, I release TPI, Pfizer Inc and its affiliates from any liability for any use of all or any portion thereof, except such liability as may arise with respect to a valid new patent now or hereafter issued to me.
